2010: A New Year, A New Plan!
Who can believe that it’s 2010 already? Well in case you haven’t already figured this out, it is time to begin making your New Year’s Resolution. Actually, you should have already done this and you should be living the first day of your resolution today! But here is something new to add to your resolution. Inspired by the fact that we are still feeling the effects of the recession, let’s vow not to overspend this year and to be financially conservative. That means paying off your credit card debts, yes all of them. That means building a $5,000 emergency fund. That means funding your IRA, and saving your money so that you will have a retirement. That means only shopping when you can afford to, and never paying full price for anything. That means searching for coupons online, clipping coupons out of the paper, and doing anything you can to save an extra penny. That means shopping at places like the dollar store and Collections Etc.
It also means that while you may have planned to start the Medifast diet, you may have to postpone things for a minute while you get financially stable. Don’t put your health off for too long though, otherwise money really won’t do you any good. So all in all, try to make 2010 the best year it can be. Be invigorated, inspired and instantly ready for the new you, the new plan, and the new year! Happy New Year!
